Job openings in the Binaural Physiology Lab
Post-doctoral position available: we are looking for a post-doc who is interested in our research on the neural mechanisms of sound localization. We are studying this problem with a combination of behavioral experiments in awake, behaving cats as well as with physiological and anatomical experiments in anesthetized animals. Experience with single unit, extracellular recordings in vivo preparations, especially recordings in awake animals, or with psychophysical studies of auditory perception would be helpful. There is opportunity to interact with the large auditory community at the Univ. of Wisconsin campus in Madison. The lab is supported by two NIH grants. For details go to the Binaural Physiology web page. If you are interested, email or contact Dr. Tom Yin. (posted 11/12/04)
Undergraduate research assistant: we also have openings for interested undergraduate students who would like to get involved in research on the mammalian nervous system. There are opportunities to work for credit or for pay. If you are interested, email or contact Dr. Tom Yin. (posted 11/12/04)
